Expanding into Latin America: RelyEZ Ships Its First Utility-Scale Energy Storage Project to Chile

As the global energy storage market continues to expand, RelyEZ Energy is steadily strengthening its international presence while accelerating project delivery worldwide. Recently, the company's 20 MW / 80 MWh battery energy storage project in Chile successfully completed factory acceptance testing (FAT) and was officially shipped.

As RelyEZ's first utility-scale battery energy storage project in Chile, the company played a key role as the technology developer, working closely throughout the project to support its successful implementation. This milestone further strengthens RelyEZ's strategic expansion across the Latin American energy storage market.

The project features the RelyEZ GridUltra 5016 liquid-cooled energy storage system. Prior to shipment, the customer appointed the internationally recognized independent certification body DNV to conduct the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). Throughout the process, the RelyEZ technical team worked closely with the customer and DNV during commissioning and testing to ensure the system met the project's stringent requirements for performance, safety, and reliability, providing a solid foundation for successful delivery.

Chile's Energy Storage Market Enters a New Phase of Growth

As one of Latin America's leading markets in the energy transition, Chile has continued to accelerate renewable energy development in recent years. Supported by exceptional solar resources and a strong renewable energy foundation, the country has become one of the fastest-growing renewable energy markets in the world.

As installed wind and solar capacity continues to increase, the need for greater grid flexibility is becoming increasingly important. Energy storage is rapidly emerging as a critical solution for maintaining grid stability, improving renewable energy integration, and ensuring the reliable operation of the power system.

Driven by supportive government policies and growing market demand, Chile's energy storage market is entering a period of rapid expansion, creating significant opportunities for continued industry growth.

Grid-Forming Technology Supporting Chile's Energy Transition

The system is equipped with grid-forming Power Conversion System (PCS) technology, providing black-start capability and dynamic reactive power support to enhance grid stability and system resilience.

Recognizing Chile's seismic conditions, the system has also been engineered to meet the country's earthquake resistance requirements, ensuring reliable, long-term performance under demanding operating environments.

From advanced manufacturing in China to successful deployment across Latin America, RelyEZ Energy continues to leverage its technological innovation and global delivery capabilities to provide customers with safe, efficient, and reliable energy storage solutions.

By supporting projects from manufacturing through commissioning, RelyEZ remains committed to accelerating the global energy transition and delivering cleaner, more resilient energy systems that benefit communities around the world.
